Gauge Chart Widget

Modified on Fri, 7 Mar at 4:25 PM

The Gauge Chart Widget provides a clear visual representation of a selected metric, helping users quickly assess performance at a glance. By defining custom thresholds, users can categorize values into distinct ranges—green for optimal performance, yellow for caution, and red for areas that may require attention. This intuitive display makes it easy to monitor key statistics and identify whether a given attribute falls within an acceptable range or needs further attention.

A single metric is selected from available report types for display on the gauge chart.

When adding or editing a Gauge Chart widget, the following information will be required;

Time Period - The period in which the dashboard will show data for (standard for all widgets).

Report Type - The type of report the metric displayed will be sourced from.

Attribute - The metric to use within the gauge chart.

Filter - Depending on the chosen report, selection of an Extension, Group, or Filter may be required.

Thresholds - These dictate the colour positions on the gauge (more on these below).

Thresholds can be configured as;

Green as low, Red as high (might be used in the case of abandoned calls, where lower is better)

Red as low, Green as high (might be used in the case of answered percentage, where higher is better)

In both cases, the Yellow threshold must always sit between Green and Red values on a numeric scale.

The starting point for the gauge is always zero regardless of direction.

In the example above, Green = 50, Yellow = 20, Red = 10.

This means anything from 0-10 is Red, 10-20 is Yellow, and 20-50 is Green.

As the value is 22 in the first screenshot, this puts the needle in the Green 20-50 range.

If the value of the metric is over 50 (Eg. 210) the gauge would sit at the bottom of the right side of the chart and display the metric value in the centre of the gauge as normal.
