Extension Lifecycle Report

Report Purpose


This report generates a cradle-to-grave analysis of every call involving the selected extension(s). It provides a detailed timeline of each event in a call’s lifecycle, presented in a tabular format. Blank lines are added between individual calls to clearly separate them for better readability.


Required Input (Report Subject)


  • Choose a, single extension, or extension range as the focus of the report.
  • Selecting an extension or extension filter will automatically include all associated numbers in the chosen filter.
  • Include Internal - Enable this option to include internal calls in the report totals (disabled by default).


Optional Input (Available Filters)


  • Trunk Filter - Restricts the report to calls made via specific trunks, useful for external call statistics.
  • Restrict Times - Only include calls made or received within a specified time range.


Output Data


Data for this report is output in the form of a table comprising a row entry per call event, with a blank line printed between individual calls;


  • Event Date/Time - Date and time of the associated call event.
  • Duration - Duration of the event in hours: minutes: seconds (h:m:s) - (00:00:00 where unknown)
  • Event Type - What was happening during this event.
  • Source - What was the source of this event (usually only presented on the first event of a call).
  • Destination - Where was the call trying to go during this event.
  • Outcome - What was the outcome of this specific event (Eg. Answered, Completed, Routed, Transferred).
  • Next Destination - Where was the next destination for the call. Eg. Where was it transferring or routing to.
