Extension Talktime by Period Report

Report Purpose


To provide a detailed breakdown of the total cumulative talk time for each extension, organized by day, day of the week, week, or month.


For users with multiple devices (e.g., a desk phone and a softphone), the report consolidates all activity into a single entry, capturing total talk time across all associated devices.


Required Input (Report Subject)


  • Select an extension filter to define the scope of the report.
  • The default selection is “All Extensions”, but any configured “Extension filter” can be applied.
  • Choose a Period Grouping option: Day, Day of the Week, Week*, or Month.
  • Selecting a specific user or extension will include all numbers linked to that user or device as configured in the Extensions settings.


Optional Input (Available Filters)


  • Trunk Filter - Restricts the report to calls made via specific trunks, useful for external call statistics.
  • Restrict Times - Only include calls made or received within a specified time range.


Output Data


Data for this report is output in the form of a table comprising of;


  • Entity - The display name associated with the individual or extension.
  • Interval Periods - Each Day, Day of the Week, Week*, or Month for the period. **


* Weeks are classified as Sunday to Saturday.

** Each period will be displayed in a separate column.


Eg. If a report is run from July 1st to July 10th and “Day” is selected as the period grouping there would be 10 columns per entity in that period, however, if “week” was selected, there would be 2 columns per entity for the two weeks in that period.
