The User's page within the configuration area is where reporting portal users can be added, edited or deleted.
Currently configured users are displayed in the form of a table comprising of;
- Name: The name assigned to the listed user.
- Email: The email address of the listed user (this is also the login ID).
- Permission Level: The permission level associated with the user.
- Permissions: Granular permission controls for "Restricted" or "Limited" permission levels.
- Timezone: Users' timezone for date/time displays and scheduled reports.
- Security Role: The security role associated with the user. (Restricted Reporter users only.)
Please see below explanation of available permission levels:
Permission Level | Access |
Restricted Reporter | The Restricted Reporter user level offers customizable access to specific areas of the system. Administrators can enable or restrict access to the following features:
Users at this level can only generate reports for devices within their assigned security role. This makes it an ideal permission level for team leaders who need visibility of their team's extensions and groups but do not require access to the entire system. |
Limited Reporter | The Limited Reporter user level allows customization of access to various system areas. Administrators can enable or restrict access to the following features:
This provides flexibility in controlling what data and functionalities the user can access within the system. |
Full Reporter | This is a standard-level user that can run all reports on the system, as well as Search, Dashboards, Scheduler and Alerts but cannot access any configuration areas. |
Limited Admin | Here all features of Full Reporter are included, plus standard access to Extension and Group configuration. Optional access to: Reporting Filters, Security Roles, Users, Voicemail, Trunks, ACD Groups, Call Costing, Systems and Collectors |
Full Admin | A full system administrator with complete system access. |
Editing a User:
You can edit all user details, except for the email address, which is used as the login ID. To change the email address, contact support or delete the existing user and create a new account.
Adding a New User:
If no password is specified, a random password will be generated. The user will receive an email with their login details and URLs to access the system and the knowledge base.
Timezone:
Each user can set their timezone. This setting is used for scheduling reports but can be adjusted by the user directly. When a user generates a report or views call details, all timestamps are displayed in their local timezone, regardless of the timezone where the call originated.
