Group Tranfer Report

Modified on Fri, 20 Dec, 2024 at 11:44 AM

Report Purpose

To show the number of calls transferred from a group number to unique destinations where they were answered.

For example, when running a Group Summary report, that may show that of calls to the Reception group, 25 of those were "Transferred Away" meaning the answering party transferred that call elsewhere.

This report focuses on Transferred calls, offering a detailed breakdown of their final destinations based on the available data.

Required Input (Report Subject)

A single group number must be selected as the subject of this report.

Optional Input (Available Filters)

Restrict Times - Only include calls made or received within a specified time range.

Output Data

Data for this report is output in the form of a table comprising of;

  • Transfer Destination - Name (where available) and number of receiving party of the transferred call.
  • Number of Calls - Total number of calls transferred to this destination number.

Additional Notes

  • Calls transferred internally to an individual but answered by voicemail will show "Voicemail" as the transfer destination. For example, if Reception transfers a call to an unavailable user, and the call goes to their voicemail, it will be logged accordingly.
  • If the transfer destination cannot be determined, it will be categorized as "Indeterminate."
  • There are several reasons that calls may be identified as indeterminate but the most common are;
    • A "Supervised" transfer is attempted and subsequently cancelled.
    • A "Blind" transfer is attempted to an internal party, but the caller disconnected during the transfer or while the destination phone was still ringing.
